Thanksgiving isn’t a just day, it’s an attitude
It’s Thanksgiving. This past year has been the most difficult year of my life. Yet I’m grateful and able to live with a thankful heart.
It’s not that my circumstances have changed. It’s that my attitude has shifted.
For those who are going through trials, hurts, losses, and hardships. If you’re alone or your missing family or friends today. Whatever the circumstances you’re facing, be encouraged!
Jesus said “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
One of my favorite verses is Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
“We would worry less if we praised more. Thanksgiving is the enemy of discontent and dissatisfaction.” ~ Harry Ironside
There is always something give thanks for. Gratitude is cultivated by our actions. The following quote sums up how I hope to live each day.
“To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven.” (Johannes A. Gaertner)
Thanksgiving isn’t a just day, it’s an attitude and lifestyle. Be blessed!
